James Winspear was born in Bristol in 1969. After escaping from boarding school he spent four years studying photography at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design, he then went back to college in 1995, graduating with a degree in photography from the London College of Printing in 1997. His first commission was for ‘Blueprint’ to photograph the interiors of a new bar/restaurant in Leeds, the pictures were used in numerous magazines including the New York Times. Since then he has worked for a wide variety of clients and publications, working mainly in the areas of portraiture and interior design.
James has had his photographs published in numerous magazines and journals including; Property Week, RIBA Journal, 'How To Spend It Magazine' (The FT), Management Today, BA Business Life and The London Magazine.
He lives and works in London.
